Who Was She, and Who Are We?
Grace O’Malley, also known as Gráinne Mhaol or Granuaile, was a 16th-century Irish noblewoman and pirate queen. Born in County Mayo, Ireland, around 1530, she became a skilled sailor and leader. Renowned for her exploits at sea, O’Malley engaged in piracy and warfare against English forces in defense of Ireland. A fearless and cunning leader, she commanded her own fleet of ships and is celebrated in Irish folklore as a symbol of resistance against domination and a pioneering female figure in history.
At Gracie O’Malley’s, you’ll find yourself immersed in a lively atmosphere, where the clinking of glasses mingles with the cheers of fans watching their favorite sports teams on big screens. Inspired by her adventures and fearless attitude, Gracie O’Malley’s is a tribute to a true Irish icon.
